Gideon Lewis, MD

Dr. Gideon Lewis graduated from Richland Park SDA Elementary School in 1959, and from the sister secondary school, Mountain View Academy, in 1964. Immediately after graduation from Mountain View Academy he was recruited to teach in the elementary school and later served as its principal.
In 1967, Dr. Lewis left St. Vincent for his college education at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. He completed the premedical course in 1971 and entered Loma Linda University School of Medicine from which he graduated in 1975 with the MD degree in Family Medicine.
For the past forty years, Dr. Lewis has conducted a highly successful practice in family medicine serving the needs of a patient population in the Orlando, FL, suburbs. He and his wife, Delores, have raised four children and have five grandchildren. As he winds down his practice, he devotes lots of energy to humanitarian causes in his community and overseas.
