Al Bacchus, PhD

Dr. Al Bacchus graduated from the Richland Park SDA Elementary School (St. Vincent & the Grenadines) in 1959. He completed secondary school at Mountain View Academy in 1963. He attended Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI from 1967 through 1974 earning a BS degree in Medical Technology and an MA degree in Biology. He completed his doctoral program in physiology at Michigan State University in 1978, and served a three-year post-doctoral research fellowship in the laboratory of Robert M. Berne at the University of Virginia.

His major career accomplishments include being a college professor for over 40 years, creating two college level courses in wellness education, and publishing two books: Personal Wellness: How to Go the Distance (1999), and Love, Wellness, and Happiness: Discover Your Inner Warrior, Miracle-worker, Lover, and Ruler (2021). His major goal in his retirement years is to help build schools world-wide, and share his model of wellness education at the high-school and community college levels.
