LWH Ministries was started by <\/span><\/span>Al Bacchus, PhD<\/b><\/span><\/span>, after the writing of his book <\/span><\/span>Love, Wellness, and Happiness. <\/i><\/span><\/span> He teamed up with two of his friends,<\/span><\/span> Gideon Lewis MD,<\/b><\/span><\/span> a close friend since childhood, and <\/span><\/span>Dale Michael Campbell, MA, <\/b><\/span><\/span>a friend from their graduate biology program at Andrews University.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The three of them formed the first board of directors with a vision to build an organization with a strong funding base to fulfill its Mission and Vision. <\/span><\/span>Brinsley Lewis, MBA, <\/b><\/span><\/span>joined the team later, and is the current President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

LWH Ministries, Inc, received the US Internal Revenue Service designation as a public charity under the <\/span><\/span>Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) on May 22, 2023.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Transparency:
Initially, we thought it would work best to solicit operational funds separately from project
funds. After some discussion, we decided to follow the customary practice of non-profits
to designate a fixed percentage of funds raised to operational costs. We have settled on
5%. We will still leave the donation page for operations active as some donors may
want to contribute directly. Thanks in advance for your support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
